Meeting the Stars

A few weeks after I got back from England I found myself in Pasadena, CA. I was taken there to a Creation Entertainment Sci-Fi convention (Grand Slam to be exact, well that was what the signs all said). While there I didn't come out much. I did hear all the stars talk, that was pretty cool. At the end of the day I got to come out. I figured we were at the hotel, but there was Armin Shimerman. Yes, that great guy from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (Quark) and Buffy the Vampire Slayer (the principle). By the way I really like Buffy. It was a well written show, and Buffy was dreamy. Anyways, my owner asked if he could take a picture of the two of us together, and he said that would be great. So, here I am, on top of Armin's head. ARF! I look just like a tribble from the episode "Trials and Tribble-ations" on DSN.

I figured that was it. You know that one big star a day is really the limit for most wombat. BUT I then got to meet another star. Yes there he is, John Rhys-Davies. He was on Sliders, Star Trek: Voyager, the Lord of the Rings trilogy, Indiana Jones, and many other things. He was a great guy as well, but not as much fun as Armin. I mean, why couldn't I sit on his head. Really now, just holding me there. Oh well, I guess that is the best I could do. And who am I to complain. I got to meet two big stars. This was defiantly one of the best days of my life.

A really big clock

So, I figured I was stuck in the bag the rest of the day, but low and behold I got to get my picture with the famous Big Ben. What can one say, it was big. It was nice to get out again, but it was nothing special. That was my part of the trip to England. I heard that my owners got out to other parts of England, but for some reason I wasn't allowed out. I heard Beatles music one day, but that is all I remember.

Stay turned. More out of country adventures to come, and in 2004 I got to meet two celebrities. In fact that is what happened next.

Inside the walls

I bet you would never guess who I met inside the Tower of London. I met a stuffed Beefeater. Yep, those guys that drink a lot. Well, they have in their service a stuffed bear that was doing a very good job of guarding the gift shop. I am glad to see that the queen is non-discriminatory towards stuffed bear. Also, he was the biggest stuffed bear I had ever met. Not much of a talker though. Oh well.

The next day in London

The next day I was out and about. The first big stop was the Tower of London. This is where they keep the crwon jewels. I didn't get to see them, but I heard that there were guys there with machine guns protecting it. I guess my owners thought that a stuffed wombat would ahve caused a scene. Oh well, I think I would look good with a gold crown. I wonder if they make them in a size XXXS more wombats like me...

Fun at the Show

After tea it was time to go to a show on the West End. I had heard that there were a lot of really good shows there. I wasn't given a vote on what we were going to see, ARF! They picked "Thoroughly Modern Millie." We had really good seats. When one went to the bathroom I got to be a seat holder. As you can see it was pretty nice. The show sounded pretty good too. I only heard it through the bag. The lady who played Millie had a really good American accent. Also, the thing I remember the most was this oriental sounding lady saying "So, sad to be all alone in the world" over and over and people laughing. So, it was funny, I guess. That was a long day, and then it was time for bed, well bag sleeping.

Tea Time

Ok, now this was where I got to have tea. It was a long day in a bag, and I didn't see a whole lot other than the inside of a bag. Oh yeah, it was opened once in a while so my owners could get something out, or put something back in, but besides that: NOTHING! I was pretty bored, and then I was let loose. They were having a real English tea, and I was able to participate. Here I am trying to eat a biscuit with jam.

Later that evening

So, after I was placed back in the bag after meeting the queen my owners left. We didn't go very far before I was out again. They placed me in a big red phone booth. I am not sure why, I think they wanted me to make a call, but they forgot to tell me the number, plus, I cannot use the phone my arms are too short. Oh well, they took a picture and seemed pretty happy. That was it there. I must say that the phone booth was very nice on the inside.

The First Adventure in England (part 1)

Arf, the first thing I got to do was go to a Medival Banquet in London. There were a lot of loud noises outside the bag I was in, but I have no idea what exactly happened. At the end of the night I got to meet the queen though. She was a little quiet. Maybe she wasn't used to such adventurous wombats.

Moral's First Adventure

Hi,

My name is Moral. How I got my name is a long story, and maybe I will write it down here one day. I am a stuffed Wombat. My owners purchased me on their honeymoon in Australia.

Things were going good until they took me on a trip to England the following year. I got lost on the airplane. I fell out of their bag and rolled along the floor. I was sure we had lost my owners, and I would never see them again. Then some nice person placed me on the emergency exit door, and when one of my owners got up to use the restroom he saw me and saved me.

From that point on they decided that I was an adventurous stuffed wombat, and I decided to document my adventures. So, they started taking pictures of me in different locations. That is what this webpage is dedicated to: Moral's Great Adventures! I hope you enjoy it.
